As a young boy my father once found me lying on the kitchen table on my back staring at the selling with a pale face. With worry he inquired about my health, and the only thing i said repeatedly was “If i were not here, where would i be?”
These kinds of existential questions have always been an obsession of mine, as far as i can remember.
Where do we come from? Where will we go? Who am i? What is this Universe?
With a mind penetrated by these questions I have naturally been drawn to a path of deep reflection and introspection, as a matter of fact I decided to live as a monk to be able to only focus on meditation and philosophy in my early 20’s and did so for about five years.
Until today introspection and deep reflection is still the base of my life.
The cause after of going deep within myself is a desire to express, create and share something in the external world. To use the verbal language to express something mystical, joyful or painful can manytimes feel dry and limited.
Art, dance and music are gateways for me to open my heart and express myself in a deeper way.
In my process I have a daily routine where I spend lots of time sketching, drawing, writing and studying.
When creating artwork I don’t limit myself to a specific medium, but I'm drawn to making videos lately, and I will do something in Virtual Reality in the future.
